The club for most part is open all year round depending on weather, we also have two club evenings on Tuesday and Thursday till 8pm in the summer months, the range is based in the grounds of The British Ironworks centre, near Oswestry, Shropshire. The range covers all recognised distances both Metric and Imperial, and we also shoot indoors on a 20-yard range during the winter in St Martins village school hall,. Beginner’s courses are run on a regular basis and enquiries from anyone interested in archery are always welcome. Equipment is available for beginners and novices to use until they develop sufficient technique to warrant the investment in, and purchase of their own.

A variety of events are run throughout the year, including annual Heritage and Clout Tournaments, attracting archers from all over the county.

The Art of Archery is one of the world’s oldest sporting activities, and in its modern form, one of the most universally popular.
There are no barriers to this fascinating and satisfying activity regardless of age, sex, ability, or disability. Archery can be enjoyed as a social activity, recreational exercise, or as a highly competitive sport with the chosen few competing at the Olympics.

Over the last 50 plus years, the club has quietly established itself as a respected international archery club, with many county, regional and national Judges as members. Club members have also been involved in: Coaching at all levels, British Team management, organisation of World Championships and World Games.
